Introduction
The tLTV series is a collection of transfer videos which span various Tony Hawk titles, starring a variety of players from the tLT clan. To date, there are three tLTVs, with a fourth video currently in production.
This page was created to archive the videos themselves, as well as detailed information on when and why they were created. With the closure of the two largest TH community sites in mid 2005 and early 2006 (THUGLiVE and tXo), much of this information has been offline and only available to members who have been around long enough to be a part of those original sites.
For those who are already familiar with the videos, you'll also find an exhaustive amount of extra features and bonus material, including pre-release clips from each tLTV installment. Additionally, there are some more details regarding tLTV4, for anyone who may actually be interested in it. Note that the YouTube videos of tLTV1-3 were not uploaded by me, so I can't really do anything if they go down or something.

This was the beginning of the series, as well as the end of a popular TH community site, THUGLiVE. It was created quite simply out of the desire of a few tLT members, namely Jinzo, bace, and myself, to create a video showcasing the clan with some exciting transfers. THPS4 and THUG are featured, with about an even amount of footage for each game.
Ironically, the site for the tLT clan, THUGLiVE, was shut down just days before the video was completed, with no warning from the administrators. However, thugXonline (tXo) was still quite active, so it was posted over there with a fairly positive reaction.
At this stage, my involvement in the production of the video was fairly minimal compared to the rest of the series. Even though I was responsible for editing, I mostly just cut together whatever Jinzo sent to me. There was one situation where he had Bace re-capture one of his transfers because he didn't think the video quality was good enough to go in the video. Basically, it was me and Jinzo working on the production side.
Trivia
Some of the footage in tLTV was originally intended to be used in a sequel to a THPS4 transfer video I created in late 2004. That video was cut short due to my hard drive crashing, so I started working on a second complete video. When the idea of tLTV was tossed around, I simply took the THPS4 clips I had and added more in from the other players. This explains why RVD shows up in the THPS4 section.
My Hangar transfers at the start of the THUG section were part of a NM line I was working on. It was actually a second revision of a very old Hangar NM line I made back in early 2004, although I only finished the first 30 seconds or so. Some of the clips are straight from this incomplete line.

Many people see this video as the peak of the series. Coming a little more than 4 months after the first tLTV, at least 3 of them were spent actively producing this video. Featuring more players and more games (THPS4-THAW), it definitely has more variety than the original tLTV. I was particularly interested in finding big air transfers for this video, so there are many more of those to be found. Almost all of my clips involve really large gaps of some sort.
When editing tLTV2, I wanted to give it a slightly more cinematic presentation, compared to the first video which started and ended rather abruptly. This one at least has an intro and ending, with titles and credits. Unfortunately, these scenes, which I was fairly proud of at the time, look quite ugly today due to the low resolution and framerate.

tLTV2 Teaser
Released: September 4, 2005
This was a quick teaser/trailer for tLTV2. It was made very early into the production of the video, and only has a couple clips which were never really intended to be used outside of the trailer. That LA acid drop sure does look cool though!
tLTV2 Pre-release version
Date: October 3, 2005
An old version of tLTV2 which was only produced as a preview for some of the people in the video. It's only about 5 minutes long. Although there are no deleted scenes or transfers, the clips are arranged differently compared to the final version.
Trivia
Skit's School II corner wallie transfer at ~5:08 in the video was the worse of two takes. In the second, he did the same thing but ended with a grind on the pole connecting the two school buildings. I only used the first take because of an amusing conversation taking place in the chat regarding Tenz0.
Bace's two THPS4 transfers (starting at 1:12 in the video) were actually transfers capped for tLTV that I forgot to include in the first video.
Skit convinced me to extend the clip of my THUG2 Barcelona transfer (1:23) to include me knocking over the sailor on the boat.
LJ was credited in the video because he showed me the acid drop glitch which is used in the crazy Manhattan jump at the end.
There was originally going to be some THPS2 footage. Bace had capped a few different rail bonks in the game, but for whatever reason, I never got around to putting it in the video. Actually, a lot of clips never made the final cut, even more than was shown in the Outtakes Video. Maybe even enough to make a tLTV2: Complete Edition or something!

The most recent entry in the tLTV series, which is over 2 years old now! It has been quite a while. I thought this was my best effort so far in the series, although the community doesn't seem to think so. It actually came together much faster than the previous two videos, only taking about a month to complete.
There are two moves prominently featured in the video: skitching and the buttslap, which is a poorly named move that allows you to ollie multiple times at once. I put even more emphasis on big air transfers for tLTV3, which is why these moves were used so frequently. At times, they are a bit overused, being done to land very simple transfers in a few cases.
I believe this video is the best from an editing standpoint. Although it still suffers from poor video quality, I put the most editing effort into tLTV3. Hopefully it shows, if only a little bit.
Extras
tLTV3 Teaser
Released: June 21, 2006
This was released unnamed, in an attempt to surprise people who didn't think there would be another tLTV. It has more footage compared to the tLTV2 trailer, although once again, none of it ended up in the final video. This was released when I first began working on the video, so it took exactly one month to complete.
tLTV3 Pre-release
Released: July 13, 2006
This was just a week before the final video came out, and it is considerably shorter, less than 6 minutes long. It has some different editing and crappier removed transfers scattered about. The video came together rather quickly over the last week before release.
Trivia
This video came a few months after a fake tLTV3 video which was actually just glitches in Zelda: Ocarina of Time. At that point, I didn't have any intention of making a third tLTV. Once the Buttslap move was discovered, I then started to make plans for tLTV3. I suppose this video may never have happened if that move wasn't found.
Bace appears only once in the THUG section, for a transfer over an OB area in San Diego. Elec was playing with his CAS in the other clips.
My transfer in Canada into the OB area at the start of the THUG2 section was one that I had been attempting to land for tLTV2, but I couldn't get enough distance. That is, until I revisited it using the Buttslap.
Another one of my transfers, the College wallride to the top of the building, was one I had been attempting to land for even longer. I believe I originally wanted to include it in either my old THPS4 TV, or the original tLTV. I used autokick off in order to generate enough speed, however back when I first attempted to land it, I thought you had to mash square in order to continue kicking. When I looked at it again for tLTV3, I realized you could just hold square, which gave me enough speed to land it.
Fayte capped my massive car transfer at the beginning of the "epic" section (6:12). At the time, everyone was just messing around with a custom goal that started you on that rooftop with a car. He also recorded some of his own clips from that game afterwards.

Update (Oct. 22, 2008): tLTV4 is now complete! Check out the second part of the video above, which should hopefully resolve all the confusion from the first half! Although the actual video is done, there could end up being another release of bonus features, including bloopers/bails and deleted scenes. I'm not sure when that would come out though, as right now I'm just glad the video is done.
Update (Oct. 13, 2008): The first part of the video is finally released! Unfortunately the complete video didn't make the September release date I originally intended, but I had to delay it a little to add some new sections which really improve the video. As a result, the second half of the video still needs some work, hence why the video is being released in two parts.
It should be clear that this isn't a standard transfer video right from the start. tLTV4 is a new take on the series mixing transfers, andyTHPS Projekt-style presentation, and a little bit of machinima. Cutscenes show a sort of storyline taking place throughout the video, although it's really just a simple timeline of events, with most of the skating shown through flashbacks. There aren't any talking characters and stuff (since that would look silly), but just enough cinematics to make things interesting.
This first part is a pretty sizeable chunk of the video (almost 10 minutes), so you should be able to see all the concepts I've put in. It features some THAW levels, along with Manhattan, Hawaii, and a couple new CAPs that I built for the second CAP video. Unlike Extremely Extreme, the last two-part collection I can remember, this is still one video, so don't expect the "storyline" I've laid out to make complete sense until the rest of the video is released. With any luck, it will be intruiging enough to warrant the second part!

Update (Sept. 18, 2008): Now that the video is nearly complete, I can confirm that it will be released this month (September 2008). Since there isn't much more of the month left, you can expect it within the next couple weeks. There is a new teaser (linked just above) which shows off a THUG2 LA section from the video, although this probably won't be in the final copy now that it has been released. Also, the video quality seen in the new teaser should reflect the quality of the final product, although I plan to have a separate MP4 version at a little more than half the file size of the high quality video.
This video has been in development for quite some time, and it is slowly nearing completion. The trailer gives a quick look into the direction I'm taking for the fourth video.
To be blunt, it's nothing like the first three videos. It may not even be considered a true entry in the series to most people. I've heard complaints that even calling it tLTV4 could be misleading. Personally, I believe it captures many of the same elements as the previous videos, but it does go beyond the traditional concept of a transfer video.
In order to keep things from getting boring, it will be considerably more cinematic compared to the previous videos, with some exciting camera angles and multiple looks at the same transfer. It's similar in many ways to my CAP video last year, although I've put more effort into the presentation this time. The video quality should be about as good as the screenshots below. Or, if you've seen the trailer, it will be a little sharper than that.
THUG, THUG2, and THAW will be the featured games. You will see at least a couple levels from each game, aside from THUG2 which plays a smaller part in the video right now. Additionally, some of the parks that I'm working on for my second CAP video will be shown. They won't necessarily be skated, just introduced and used for certain scenes. You will basically see some of the parks in tLTV4, and they will then be explored further in the CAP video.
tLTV4 will definitely be the longest of the series. Some of the video has yet to be edited, but it is at least 10-11 minutes long at this time of writing. However, don't expect too many people in this one. This is where the video really departs from the others. It's mostly just my transfers shown in the video for now, although there are various people who appear in the video indirectly, such as players who use my CAS for different camera angles (this was done in the trailer). They will also be in the video with their own stuff too, so don't worry!
